The 12 Disease Symptoms of Earth Organism analogue to the disease symptoms of biological organisms

turn-around strategy

A healthy Africa will heal the world

The Eco Group Africa programme aims to be a turn-around strategy for Life on this continent. It is a factor in Africa’s immune system.

Like all creatures on the planet, earth also has an immune system. Natural ecosystems are dynamic and have extra-ordinary regenerative powers. Likewise does mankind harbour in its biological and mental fabric the potentiality to inspire, innovate and establish a deeply rooted and ever present earth immune system.

ECO GROUP AFRICA as a humble ‘antibody’ wishes to join forces with a multitude of initiatives and countless individuals around the globe to spark off the healing process. For us here on the continent the journey, by birth and innate connection to landscapes, waters, soils, animals, plants and people, starts in our home Africa, because we believe a healthy Africa will heal the world.

1. Fever

Global warming

2. Blood poisoning

Pollution of rivers and bodies of water.

3. Atherosclerosis

Traffic jams on freeways, clogged up supply routes to cities.

4. Respiratory disease

Compromised air quality through air pollution, eg smog acid rain and dust.

Deleterious effect on all living organisms.

5. Cancer

Cities and Metropoles.

They suck in energy (nutrients) from the environment to the detriment of the rest of the earth organism just like a cancer thrives at the cost of a human or other body. There is no recycling of nutrients back to farmland to nourish soils. Overwhelming quantities of energy get caught up in cities and drive exuberant disproportional growth.

The histopathological microscopic picture of cancer looks as vibrant and ordered as the aerial view of urban surrounds.

The cancer infested biological organism gets emaciated and eventually dies. Earth organism suffers from urbanization and desertification as a result of the overwhelming one way traffic of energy, goods and biomass to cities. Like biological neoplasms undergoing necrosis at their centres when arteries and veins get clogged up due to increased tissue density and impaired nutrient, oxygen and waste product flow to and from the core of the growth, so do the centres of big metropoles succumb to the pressures of infrastructure and social system collapse and limited element exchange in the convoluted structures of an increasingly sprawled environment.

6. Circulatory disorders

Environmental imbalances caused by massive biomass and energy shifts to towns, cities and metropoles.

7. Anemia

Deficiencies and imbalances of nutrients which support healthy urban populations.

8. Hunger/Food shortage/famine

Ailing agriculture due to policy inefficiencies, economical and political challenges, corruption, skills deficiencies, energy and resource wastage, environmental mismanagement.

9. Skin disease

Death of forests and landscapes, alien plant and animal species invasions, grazing mismanagement.

10. Dehydration

Desertification, drying up of water ways and bodies.

11. Compromised immune system

Loss of intelligent and regenerative healing powers in human society and in life support structures and systems.

12. Neurological disorders Culture and ancient wisdom loss

Large scale connectivity loss to nature and ecosystems. Agriculture monoculture systems, high density residential silos in cities, social systems collapse.
